From National Champion to Elite Softball Coach in Tampa

Meet Cassidy Davis

If you're searching for softball training in Tampa, look no further than Cassidy Davis — former Florida State softball standout, national champion, and now a top-tier trainer and rehab specialist with a unique edge: she’s lived it.

A NCAA Champion Athlete with Deep Roots in Tampa

Cassidy Davis began her softball journey at just five years old and went on to achieve what most young athletes only dream of. A graduate of Florida State University, Cassidy helped lead the Seminoles to a National Championship in 2018, a National Runner-Up title in 2021, and three ACC Conference Championships. She finished her collegiate career ranked eighth all-time in home runs at FSU and held the school record for career relief appearances.

Before her collegiate success, Cassidy was a state champion at Newsome High School and named the 2016 Hillsborough County Player of the Year. Her success wasn’t just about stats—it was about grit, perseverance, and a relentless love for the game.

Real Injuries. Real Recovery. Real Results.

Cassidy’s path wasn’t free from challenges. She dealt with a torn hip labrum, multiple concussions, a torn hamstring, and two broken noses. These injuries didn’t end her story—they helped her write a new one. Now, as a licensed physical therapist and trainer, Cassidy uses those experiences to help other athletes push through setbacks and come back stronger.

Whether it’s rehab after surgery, softball-specific return-to-throw programs, or building confidence post-injury, Cassidy knows the road firsthand.

Combining Performance and Recovery Under One Roof

What sets Cassidy apart in Tampa’s softball scene? It’s not just her championship pedigree or her medical background. It’s that she brings both worlds together.

As an athlete, she played at the sport’s highest level. As a physical therapist, she treats athletes with the insight only someone who’s been through it can offer. “Most PTs don’t have softball-specific experience,” Cassidy notes. “There’s a lot of research around baseball pitching, but softball mechanics are different—and that’s where I come in.”

Softball Lessons for All Ages and Levels

Cassidy offers private softball training to players at all levels—from middle schoolers just starting out, to elite athletes aiming for college scholarships. Her sessions focus on:

  • Fundamentals of hitting and throwing
  • Advanced mental performance coaching
  • Pitch selection and sequencing
  • Position-specific techniques for pitchers, outfielders, and utility players
  • Customized return-to-play programs for injured athletes

Whether your goal is making varsity, playing at the next level, or just building confidence on the field, Cassidy tailors her training to match your ambitions.

Why Train With Cassidy Davis?

If you’re a softball athlete in the Tampa area, here’s why training with Cassidy is a game-changer:

  • You’ll learn from a national champion who knows what it takes to win.
  • You’ll train smarter, not just harder—with biomechanics and injury prevention at the core of your program.
  • You’ll be coached by someone who gets it, from the high-stakes pressure to the physical setbacks.

“There’s no one else in Tampa, as far as I know, that offers this level of softball experience combined with rehab knowledge,” Cassidy says.

Ready To Work?

If you’re looking for elite-level softball training in Tampa, especially with someone who can guide you both on and off the field, Cassidy Davis is your go-to coach.

Whether you're bouncing back from injury or trying to reach the next level, Cassidy brings the skills, perspective, and passion that make a lasting difference.

One of the most common questions we get at Diesel Optimization is, “Do you take insurance?” And we get it—navigating payment options can be confusing, especially when you’re ready to start your wellness journey. Here’s the short answer: Yes, we accept insurance. Now, here’s the breakdown: Diesel Optimization is a hybrid facility , that accepts cash and insurance . While we may not be in-network with every provider just yet, we welcome all insurance plans and handle verification on the back end. That means you can focus on your recovery while we check the details for you. “We’ll check everything on our end and let you know what’s covered. We always do our best to make the process smooth and transparent.” — Phil Wallin, Founder We’re in-network with a few providers (especially on the performance side of things), and more are being added as we grow. If we’re not in-network with your provider yet, don’t worry—many clients still use their out-of-network benefits successfully.
